The Fix-Up
Fund is very flexible, low interest loan program funded by the state of
Minnesota's
Minnesota Housing Finance Agency. The Fix-up Fund's interest rate is lower than
most bank loans and is very easy to qualify for. Almost any home improvement
project is eligible, including furnace or air conditioning replacements,
insulation, new windows or doors, or general remodeling.

repayment terms vary from 1 to 20 years, depending on the amount financed.
Security:
All loans are secured by a mortgage on the residence, which may allow you to
write off the interest on your taxes your taxes.
UPPER INCOME LIMITS APPLY AND MAY NOT EXCEED $96,500 GROSS PER YEAR

- Complete all sections of the
application; repayment is figured at $1,000 per year
- Attach two copies of current
paycheck stubs within the last 60 days and recent W2
- if self-employed, last 2 years Schedule C
- if retired, provide copies of the last two months of bank
statements showing direct deposit of Social Security and Pension - Attach a copy of the bid you
will be using for the work
- Do-It-Yourselfers should obtain an estimate from a supplier showing cost
of materials and submit it with the application - Include a signed Contractor Warranty
- Attach a copy of your most recent
County Property Tax Statement
